Creating Secret Questions and Answers

Creating three secret questions and answers allows you to increase your security, so that your personal and sensitive information has increased protection.

At each log on one of your secret questions will be randomly displayed for you to correctly answer. These secret questions and answers will also be used as proof of your identity if you ring up the Mater Patient Portal help desk.

Recommendations

A good secret question and answer should:

Remain true over time.
Be about information that is known only by you and is not public information.
Be worded so you will immediately know / remember the secret answer.
Be kept short and should not be easy to guess.
